Working single mum here, no way are my children being sent to school in this heat. Yes bills need pay ect but 2 days off won’t harm, my kids are always my 1st priority. Your post seems to be shaming those of us who are choosing to protect our children’s health, safety and well being 🤷🏼♀️

I prioritise my children’s health and wellbeing and they are still attending school, the school have put things in place in order to keep them cool, water play, ice lolly’s etc, if they can walk around Disneyland in nearly 40 degree heat like they did a couple of years ago they can sit in a classroom, yes it hot and uncomfortable but completely acceptable to attend school in my opinion 😊

Wow! Just so you are aware not all Mums who “don’t work” are out sunbathing! If that’s what you think the life of a stay at home Mum is then you are sadly mistaken! How about we stop judging other Mums whether they “work” or not because being a Mum is a full time unpaid job that doesn’t stop, we don’t get sick days, we don’t get days off just like working Mums. How about we try supporting eachother rather than tearing eachother down!

I don’t agree with keeping them off. But I do want him to be comfortable I’ve sent him in PE kit all week. I was expecting the school to say something but they haven’t.

* just to clarify - i'm not digging out sahm that is literally my dream! it was a post to make mums feel a bit less alone if they felt guilty for sending theirs to school because they don't have a choice. no judgment was intended by my post ❤️

i work nights till 7 or 8 and I still kept them off, it's the travelling for mine they have to sit on a hot bus for an hour, that's the only reason

I felt awful because half my daughter's nursery class weren't in and she was. I had to work. then I remembered they have water play and air con so it's better than my house for her anyway 😭

My 13 year old wants to go in. My 11 year old has aircon all over her school. I kept my youngest home today and she’s asked if she can go to school tomorrow because all I did all day was work! My kids are all in school tomorrow!

I think its personal preference, if you want to send your kids to school or stay home, unfortunately mine have additional needs and can't regulate so staying at home with fans, and ice cold pool in shade was best way x
