The bat is heavier at one end which would cause a gyroscope type levitation, when flipped at speed which is why it stayed up for so long. Hope this helps....

He threw it behind him behind the camera and somebody threw it back towards the pitchers mound. The way he tossed that there is no way he didn’t even show no force throwing that bat.

Far more likely he threw it backwards over the camera and someone threw it back since it had a forward velocity and reversed rotation when it came back in frame and landed

There’s no way he casually tosses the bat in the air at 129 ft/sec. MLB bat speed is 105-110 ft/sec.
