@the_boujee.foodie: It’s truffle season and nothing beats kicking it off with delicious steak and potato dish. A little better than your typical meat, and two veg. I’m kicking off truffle season with it added to a steak dinner, pommes paolo, vegetables and a deep bone broth. Some love to say truffle is overrated, but in my humble opinion it has been the byproduct of the over saturation of truffle extract; a more economical way of having truffle aroma for a fraction of the price. Much so that when people return to having real truffle, they oftentimes forget its flavor when it’s fresh versus extracted and infused into an oil to preserve a once delicate and seasonal ingredient. What they miss out on is the nuttiness, pungent and umami flavor of the beautiful truffle in its glory. Let’s take it back to basics, and give yourself a classic but great dish, through and through. #truffle #steak #pommes #sauce
