@caitiesfosterfam: Mogwai’s story is way too common. A dog found neglected on the streets of Houston in this horrible condition. How did she end up there? Who did this to her? I was told a neighbor thinks she knows who owned her. That they moved and left her behind. I was told that they reported them. But I don’t know details. I don’t have any addresses or names. In rescue, it’s hard to know who is telling us the truth in these cases. And Texas animal cruelty laws are still too lax and treat animals as property. So another case where I have to make peace with not knowing everything about Mogwai’s past. Instead, I cuddle her, heal her. I love her. And I remind her every day that she will never suffer again.
