Watch a documentary on it or research most of those men have served ptsd from the things they were forced to do. Remember this was during a time when if you don’t join the military you’re a failure to your family.

Okay, if you think about it, no war has a good side, If you look at world war 2, the axis powers were torturing Jews and black people, but the allies were also murdering civilians when the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, you can’t blame a side on a war, obviously both are bad

mind you events like these were about maybe 1-2% of US soldiers in vietnam? and you don’t think china or france did things like this during their wars with vietnam? stop hating on JUST the US for stuff and allow other countries to get away with it

3 of my great uncles fought in Vietnam, 2 because they were drunk 16 yo with their friends and signed up, and one because he stole a car and it was prison or war. I don’t think any of them did anything tho

The Vietnam war in general was horrible on both sides lit no one wanted it to happen except for the us government. What happened to the Vietnam people was terrible and those soldiers shouldn’t have been pushed to those extremes with how many drugs they were on and what they had been going through led a small percent of them to do those things
