C’mon guys, this got over complicated. When the chop saw is at 0, it’s actually cutting 90. Set it to 35, and you’re getting a cut of 125. Same with the 2 squares: 1 is already 90, the other reads 35. 90+35=125

Basically what you are saying is that because the board already has 90 degrees you need to add 35 more in order to match the 125 angle

Ahhhhh yes... a "straight" cut on the miter IS 90°... so yeah, those markings on the saw are indicating how much less/more of 90° you need to cut..... makes total sense

It's just 90 + 35. Same goes for the saw. You start at 90, offset saw with 35.
