@itsnateotz: Before chasing a goal, it’s SO important to understand your why. I’ve chased love, academic validation, and jobs thinking they were the missing piece that would finally make me feel enough. And don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with being ambitious or wanting better for yourself. Olivia Rodrigo’s song the Cure literally shows us that setting goals from a place of “this will finally fix me” is a DANGEROUS game. Because if you’re relying on a relationship, a job title, a number on the scale, or someone else’s validation to feel worthy, the goalpost will ALWAYS move. The real work is realizing that the love, validation, and worth you’re looking for can’t come from those things. It has to come from within. Chase the goal. Just make sure you’re not expecting it to save you. #mindsetshift #selflove #relationships #personalgrowth #HealingJourney you seem pretty sad, for a girl so in love, self-worth, validation, external validation, chasing goals, ambition, relationships, academic validation, dream job, worthiness, healing, inner work, self-growth, self-love, enough, goal setting, personal growth, mindset, emotional void, confidence, overachiever, high achiever, people pleasing, wanting better, Olivia Rodrigo, The Cure
