The internet is soooo different. This reminds me of the furry community, everyone's always arguing "people with dino masks aren't furries!" "you need to have a suit to be a furry!" blablablaaaaa when in reality if you go to a comvention or meet furries in real life they are so much more accepting and nobody cares if you have a suit or what kind or WHATEVER. The internet is very interesting.

I used to be incredibly strict about sexualities but I've grown so much since then. Letting go of boxes and just listening to how people feel is so much nicer and makes my life so much happier, it helps accept yourself and let go of so much anger

labels are confusing, the online community likes to label themselves much more than irl, i’m trans and consider myself bi but honestly i’ve got no clue if that’s the most accurate label for my sexuality and idc enough to find a different label

I have a theory about this now there are a lot of other things but I think language has a lot to do with it. now younger people have gotten a lot better at digital communication but a lot still gets lost where as in person you can have a full conversation never actually use a sentence and a 3rd party would still be able to know what they where talking about. like I said a lot of other things come to into play but writtem language while essential is limited and that ties into video formats as well

I've found too that the internet is way more hostile than real life. I've never had problems with anyone accepting my identity, even my grandma uses my new name.
