As a chronic overspender and a credit card addict I have learned that if I just look on the side and add a bunch of random stuff to a cart and just never buy it, it takes my urge away to click purchase now. 🤷🏼♀️

I’m basically debt free outside of my house (hasn’t always been that way) but the way I stay debt free is to use the “save for later” functionality. I make myself wait at least 48 hours to decide if I’m gonna buy. 8.5 out of 10 times I decide I don’t need or want it.

I only shopped the sales on things I would be buying in the near future anyway (my shampoo & conditioner- I use biolage bc it’s the only one that works on my fine greasy hair & the 33 oz bottles were on sale), my cat’s treats, and my fav flavor of Alani Nu drink- I don’t drink coffee. The total I would’ve spent without the sales $209.40, the total I spent with was $113.34. No impulse purchases though!

The only things I have purchased are all items I normally purchase on a regular basis and were on a massive sale, so while I may have bought them a bit sooner than I needed I’ll save in the long run (I don’t have credit card debt but I also am anti consumerism)

I have minimal credit card debt, but I am not shopping the sales anyway. The only things I might buy are items I buy regularly, so I know whether they’re ACTUALLY on sale, or if they’re “on sale” from inflated prices meant to appear cheap.
