@gatos_b4_vatos: I don’t share this part of my life with many people—it’s something I’ve kept between just my family and a few people from my past. But I’m choosing to speak up now. The justice system failed me; he threatened to unalive me and my unborn son while holding me against my will, and he served only about a year in prison. They think they can treat us any kind of way, but I’ve been through hell and came out on the other side. 20+ years later, and I’m still standing, still healing, and still refusing to accept anything less than respect.
