@iuiuaruacampus: The District Khadi of Yumbe, Dr. Dramani Omar Said, who is also a Senior Lecturer at the Islamic University in Uganda, has advised the youth of West Nile and Ugandans in general to avoid crime and engage in productive activities that contribute to personal and national development. Speaking during an engagement, Dr. Dramani Said emphasized that involvement in criminal activities not only destroys individual lives and futures but also undermines peace, security, and socio-economic progress. He urged young people to embrace education, skills development, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and other lawful income-generating activities as pathways to success. He further called upon parents, community leaders, religious institutions, and government agencies to work together in guiding and mentoring the youth towards responsible citizenship. According to him, discipline, hard work, and respect for the law are essential values that can help young people achieve their goals and become agents of positive change in society. Dr. Dramani Said encouraged the youth to resist negative peer pressure, drug abuse, theft, violence, and all forms of criminal behavior, noting that Uganda’s future depends largely on a responsible, educated, and productive young generation. He urged them to use their energy and talents to build stronger communities and contribute to the development of West Nile and the country at large.
