i think carrots need to be thinned out a few weeks after planting so they’re not sucking the juices from each other and are pore spaced out for that reason

idk who I remember in my family who used to say "you cannot let the greenery grow to much, you've GOT to cut the flowers down before any sprouting, so the plants energy goes down to the root vegetables"

soil has too many nutrients that's why the big leafs. the less nutrients in the soil the harder the root (carrot) has grow

Hi, I’ve grown carrots all my life. They don’t like chaos, they like sandy soil, neat rows, weeding, thinning and not getting to flower. Plant them in spring, pull them up in early autumn. Ofc there are different methods but that’s what works for me.
