I didn’t do well in high school so I was nervous about going to college. You’d be amazed how motivation changes when you’re on your own with kids. Took nine years while working full time but Graduated Summa Cum Laude.

THANK YOU for talking about this!! I work in family law court and this is exactly what I see on the daily! I advise every young girl… DO NOT DEPEND ON ANYONE EVER! It’s great to hv a supportive partner but always hv a backup just in case!

I wanted an education but I had nothing but roadblocks, so I gave up, and sadly it might have been for the best because at this point, surely AI would have taken any job i had and I'd be in a worse position with student loans still. doing the tradwife thing did work well for me...my first kid happened after 25 tho. but I was widowed by 33 and had no village to help. had a huge village before kids. after kids? they dwindled. after becoming a widow? nonexistent. even my family who pushed the whole "don't bother with school, you suck at everything anyway, just focus on being a mom!" narrative turned around and said "you should have considered this outcome, you failure!" So hell yes, I'm teaching my daughters to do anything but what I did, and reminding them how capable they are of standing on their own two feet

I wish I had waited to get married and had kids. I love my kids, but if I could do it over, I would do college first. I decided at 26 that I was over being broke and went back to school. I had a 4- and 5-year-old at the time.
