Africa was colonised for literally 60-70 years. 95% of the resources they had before colonisation are still there. The entire argument about resources being stolen isn’t even valid.

goes both ways mate. ur technology is worth nothing without other ppls resources and labour. therefore the value generated should be split somewhat evenly i.e. through trade but that's not how it went down is it?

Raw materials do have value exactly because they are used in production of other goods. Just because another ‘invention’ is required to turn a material into a certain good, it doesn’t mean that taking goods from another country involuntarily is okay.

You’re confusing inventing a use for a resource with owning the resource. Even if one society develops the technology that makes oil or uranium valuable, it doesn’t follow that they’re entitled to take someone else’s resources. That’s like claiming that because you invented a can opener, you own everyone else’s canned food.

Another point - demand. Resources are also worthless without demand, which creates a market for them and gives them value.
