It’s fine but most modern servers are virtual and the internal vswitch is the actual virtual port so the Cisco hardware has nothing to snoop

Provided that client accesses the network other way than Ethernet into switch? Am I correct? Because otherwise they can just unplug original dhcp from port 1 and connect there?
