The way I feel the lump in your throat when you’re yelling Gavin and he sees you and walks towards you. I can feel the tears spring to your eyes.. and I promise you that that feeling of pride and the connection he has with you will never end. I loved the years that Carter and Jack were teenagers.. I loved the years that they were in college. And I’m loving the years that they’re in their 20s.. I have never felt closer to my sons and I promise you based on what I’ve seen watching you for the last seven years., you and Gavin will share that same type of bond.
