I heard a myth where Set wanted to destroy Horus, but Horus was protected by his mother (or another figure) and went into hiding where he was trained and learned how to fight. That way he could battle against Set eventually. However, Ra favored Set, and so Horus and Set ended up in a long-time battle with one another. Eventually, Horus’ mother tricked Set, and this is how Set was eventually defeated and tricked by the son of Osiris to become the new leader of Egypt (and humanity). I think there are a lot more dualities found in this version of the myth, and Jesus’ story.
