There’s a scene in one of the episodes of Shippuden where Naruto is set to face himself at waterfall that reflects the version of you that embodies all your fear and anger, he talk no jutsu himself (had inner dialogue with his past self) in submission but in a last hurrah his past self screams from his defeated position “now what am I supposed to do!?” and the current Naruto response is “that’s simple.. you just become me” and embraces himself. A beautiful illustration of how someone can liberate themselves from their traumatic past and harboring anger by becoming the kind of person they needed for them to feel safe enough to let go of what’s hurting them.

I grew up on Sailor Moon. Main characters taught me to accept myself as a girl but also to ask myself for more, to never be afraid to fight for a bigger picture, how to always support family and friends.

Naruto is my favorite Anime ever. I grew up on it, every day after school and on weekends I would sit on the floor in my room and watch the episodes (I even have some Naruto Mangas and playing cards haha). I was a bit overweight during those years, I lost my Grandpa’ at 9 years old (he was my second Dad). It really affected me and I found refuge in food, I became a bit overweight during those times (I guess the bullying in school didn’t help either..). I related so much with Naruto (the scene in the school yard where he’s alone on the swing is ingrained in me forever that’s for sure). I also really like Rock Lee 💯 The discipline and relentless drive. I had an « awakening » at 16 and started my fitness/wellness journey. In the beginning it was only physical, but eventually the mental/spiritual also came into play. My favorite author is Carl G. Jung. I love everything that has to do with the human consciousness, the soul/spiritual realm and quantum mechanics/physics. I’m 28 years old now, I’ve been training for 12 years, I’m a semiprofessional Street Workout Athlete. And I deeply know that Naruto helped me shape into the Man I am today. I’m forever grateful for the Life I got and still get to live. Blessings upon all of humanity. We are all together in this, we are all one.

naruto basically taught us (i who grew up watching Naruto) to never give up on our dreams, to work hard for our goals and even if we do things differently from the norm, we can achieve great things.

love this video. im turning 30, started watching naruto in 2005 when i was 8-9. i learned a lot from it, but i believe the most important lesson was to not judge people for their differences. i also love kishimoto for incorporating so much anti-war messaging into the series. i have a lot of respect for him as an author
