I’ve been to Arizona in the summer. I’ve been in Phoenix when it was 112°F and stepping out of the airport was like looking into an oven. But it was bearable and I adapted. It was a bone dry heat. The UK heat just hits worse. It was 87% humidity this morning. At what point is the air just water?

I have a theory that the amount of daylight hours contributes to the pain. We don’t really get dark, just overnight twilight, it’s light before we wake and light after we go to bed. We can have a 3 or 4 hours more between sunrise and sunset than places like Florida and Texas

The heat here in the UK just doesn’t make sense. It’s hotter in other countries, but it just feels crazy hot. Science can’t explain it 😂
