Matlala's case has generated public interests and surely based on the interests of the public, the magistrate must reject the plea bargain if the law permits him to do so and insist that the matter be publicly heard in the court of law with full disclosure of what transpired. Granting a plea bargain without disclosure of facts to the public translate to " denying the public the right to information. (Views of an ordinary lay person)
