Ok, maybe I've gone too far this time... nah. This is one of those fun challenge exercises that I don't expect anybody else to do. These are Floating Counterbalance Leverage Pulldowns... a.k.a. Facepalm Pulldowns. It's the next step up from the "normal" counterbalance pull-up I showed a few weeks ago. With this one, I'm holding position off the ground while using the bars to do short range leverage pulldowns, one arm at a time. I've got just 5 lbs on each of the other ends of the bars (thanks to physics). I weigh about 175 lbs right now. When I was doing the pull-ups version, I had 7 1/2 lbs on the ends, but with this one, in order to actually move the bars, it had to be a bit less. This one is a real challenge to the back, arms, core and especially grip (because I'm holding onto the fat ends of the bars while supporting my bodyweight while doing the pulldowns).
