I never knew until tonight in reading this how her life had been after Scarlett O’Hara gone with the wind. It was a rough life and so young she lost herself and poor Suzanne through all of this and by the way, my name is Suzanne as well.

Suzanne had a decent life. Her father and maternal grandmother raised her and later on her mom and her grew close. She was loved. She had a long happy marriage and raised 3 sons.

We talk all the time about post-partum issues now and I feel like this is a moment we should grant someone compassion from a modern lens. Breastfeeding can be a struggle and IS a huge demand on the body. She was 20 yrs old, at the start of her acting career and probably felt overwhelmed by all the changes in her world. Why judge her for something she said in a desperate time to a close friend she trusted?

Unfortunately we are all products of how are parents are with us and we continue make the same mistakes as they did if you grow up without love you don’t know how to love history just repeats itself she sure was beautiful though

She only knew from learned behavior. The indifference between mother & daughter was not uncommon back then. It only changes when we know better and strive to do better. She knew not what she was to do! 💁🏼♀️
