I am convinced that Sakurai hates the Zelda franchise. He takes a major character like Ganondorf and makes him a clone of a completely unrelated character (Captain falcon) meanwhile link has two clones (toon link and young link) all while Fire emblem gets a new representative in each new game and DLC. We have not had a new Zelda character since 2008, let that sink in

while I do prefer the look and voice of OoT ganondorf, I actually think they should've kept the design of twilight princess ganondorf, as we have two characters that represent OoT, sheik and young link, and link and zelda were changed to represent different games
