I’m 12 weeks postpartum and I have no style yet :( just comfy pants and giant tshirts it’s been very hard. But it’s okay to look like you just had a baby, because you did just have a baby. 💖

the great thing about giving birth in the summer time is that in postpartum you can still wear cute little summer dresses and feel super cute! Just give yourself grace. Allow yourself to feel whatever you feel and do not feel guilty in the postpartum period. It's a temporary hormonal change.

It’s strange in the afterwards. During pregnancy you feel amazing for the changes. It’s so cool and powerful. After I had this odd feeling of like “well it’s done, and this is what I’m left with” and I’m still trying to appreciate my new body

Your feelings are so valid! I honestly struggled for the first few weeks just trying to figure out who I was, but one thing I always came back to is no matter what, I’m a Mom🩵 - you are going to do great and that baby boy is already so loved!

I felt the most beautiful while I was pregnant too! I’m ngl, after giving birth I felt like a used up old boot. But it’s normal, our bodies are completely different, but you literally created a human, it takes awhile to feel like yourself again. You have an amazing support system so you’ll be ok!! 💕

The best I can give for the first few weeks postpartum (especially the first 2, baby blues are real and ROUGH at times), is to allow yourself to feel it all. You’ll cry for no reason but let it happen, you’ll have moments of sadness (hard to explain) moments of overwhelming happiness, maybe moments of rage, overstimulation, etc and it can all happen within the same hour lol but having support helps A TON. Postpartum is the most life changing, vulnerable and beautiful time you’ll ever experience and you can in no way understand it until you’re in it.

For me, what made me feel good postpartum was really pouring into myself. Being intentional about my recovery. Both me & baby being freshly clean and lotioned. Idk it REALLY helped me

I LOVED being pregnant. I was the most confident I’ve ever been. I am now 2 years PP and I just now fully feel like myself again. It’s really hard but you’ll eventually feel like yourself again! It’s allll worth it 💙

The one thing I’ll say is to expect mood fluctuations and baby blues. I only ever thought about pp depression. But baby blues is so common in the first week with the hormone drop. I think had I known that I could feel anything other than complete happiness I would have been more prepared with my first. You are going to be an amazing mother 🥰
