I've grown up in So Cal. I've never seen perfect cracks lines like that from a earth quake. Building shifts. drywall not no much.

Scared the shit out of me. I was mid diaper change when my phone yelled at my to drop cover and hold on. Mind you I didn’t feel anything where I am 😑

I really thought the building was going down this morning when my husband, my children and I were jolted awake. We were staying on the 4th floor. I have never experienced anything like that. I really thought the building was going to come crashing down. In fact if the earthquake was longer or a tad bigger I’m quite sure it would have fallen over. I was scared for mine and my children’s lives.

Trust me it’s not shoddy construction a lot of older buildings look like in in Northern California. This building just went through its gang initiation process. I live not too far away I’ve fixed this crack a few times.
