i think one interesting visual note of this world cup thet makes it visually distinct is the height of the spectator stands. Usually in football specific stadiums, the front row of seats are near or at ground level, meanwhile in mixed use american football stadiums, the first row of seats are slightly elevated above the field, making the playing area essentially a pit where the spectators look down. It’s a very minute detail but its just something unique about this world cup that you probably will never see outside of the US because we are basically the only country that creates this style of field.

I’m so glad we can revise our perception on things we once anticipated to be disappointing.

The logo is dead but there’s definitely an identity to the tournament. I think all the photographers and videographers are also doing a great job at making you “feel it”

The contrast between old stadiums like the Azteca or KC compared to the modern marvels such as Atlanta or LA helped the theme of a tournament across a continent stick.

Good for you being open to having your perspective changed. I live in Kansas City and the downtown area even from 3 pm was just electric with fans all over the city. And then that Kansas/Missouri sunset over the stadium…sauce!
