People saying these are empanadas are mistaken. I'm Puerto Rican and I make empanadas from scratch, and that's not how empanada dough is made. This is in fact what she said a fried pie that's just shaped and sealed like an empanada, but it's not the same thing Looks delicious and I'm definitely trying this recipe.

I trust everything she does because I made her chocolate cake and it was amazing. It was so easy to make and delicious, and I’m a terrible baker, so the fact that I actually made a cake from scratch says a lot 😂

this reminds me of my grandmother's apple pies she used to make. she slow cooked fresh apples from a nearby orchard. my granddad was a produce farmer. they were amazing. there is just something about baking that is nostalgic. I bet these are phenomenal!
