The practice of witchcraft for me has been an intuitive journey, it is my own craft. I do not have any form of documentation to prove my roots, I do not have contact with my mother/her family so my ancestry is muddled. I grow my own herbs, I have always been drawn to using sage/palo santo when cleansing my space and I struggle with this notion that following what my inner knowing has been telling me is somehow wrong or harming another persons culture. My craft is my own, my magick is part of the collective….I tap into Earth, she is what grounds me. So why does it matter what herb I am choosing to burn when it is my own private practice that I have grown on my own……?
