The difference is Chinese racism in China is usually caused by ignorance, not malice. It can be obtuse, it can be insensitive, but its rarely because they think youre inferior.

I loved my visit to China....They are just curious and want to ask you questions...and every uncle offers you cigarettes and you even get free meals at some places...Those three weeks opened me up to a very beautiful culture

Always remember: The Americans have always been fearful and resentful of China. China is proving that other systems can be successful. Let's all remember properly: In the 80s/90s, the American government passed laws allowing U.S. companies to move manufacturing to China where they could exploit a cheaper workforce. China, being innovative, strategic and disciplined, learned how to adapt. Under Xi, China is succeeding because the government figured out that when you invest properly in people, healthcare, education and infrastructure you advance your society. The cost: when people have food, shelter and dignity, innovation flourishes. It is literally that simple.

Honestly, I generally feel that old Republicans and liberals have their own issues but correlate in some, even though Republicans are slightly worse. I do believe that the left can be just as problematic in certain situations.

Look you are still trying to explain things to people, I personally don’t bother anymore. If you see any Chinese person being racist, then they have gown up with a white centric perception of the world. If you are Chinese, racism does not belong in our culture at all.
