im white and live in a very multicultural neighbourhood in scotland. when scotland scored their first goal all of my street was dancing and singing and sharing their cultural food and i cried so much that day i got to participate in so much of my beautiful neighbours culture and we were all happy. i got to hear about everyones experiences in scotland and it was so beautiful😭 im distraught scotland is out the world cup but i'll never forget that day! i love community!

I think the closest we’ve gotten as of recently was this years World Cup, I’ve seen so much about it and although I’m not super into football, people going from place to place and being introduced to new things and meeting new people is doing us as people such a beautiful thing.

I taught a Russian teenager English so they could go to Canada and escape their sexu*lly abusive father. I learned Sign language so I could draw it right, because hand-speakers deserve proper recognition. I made friends right the special education kids at my campus, because I noticed them being bullied and wanted them to know that there was a safe person to go to in times of fear. I have friends from New Zealand, Brazil, Russia, Japan, Canada, and even Australia.
