Wholeheartedly agree with this! There is no way passing your test give you enough information to drive. There is so little training in reversing etc.

Absolutely right. I have learned that passing the exam means absolutely nothing because 90% of the companies won't even consider the option of hiring you if your a new driver. Got my CE 5months ago and no one wants to give me a chance, all say the same, get some experience them call me. whatsoever that even mean

100% been driving hgvs since 2005class 2 class1 2008 I don't forget starting out every body starts some where but standeds have dropped unbelievable

I travel 70 miles to get to my job just because they was willing to give me a chance had some off days but every day is a school day

Ahhh that old chestnut, old and bold verses the fuckin new guy. And it will continue to be so. Young ones need to learn from the old knights, I did, I took their advice and it’s served me well. Now I pass on my knowledge, if they should accept it. But bottom line, you learn from your own mistakes in life.
