Ive always loved that film but ive always thought it was overrated. Excellent film. Best ever made? That’s a bold choice given the depth and breadth of cinema that’s been created over the last century and half.

Give over it's a brilliant movie, definitely in the top 5. Holds up very well today apart from people who wanna be different for the sake of conversation. The Green Mile pips it for me but I can see why Shawshank would be someone's favourite. Masterpiece.

This is true its a great film but there are better especially because we have so genres personally prison movies I think Escape from Alcatraz and Pappilon (1st movie)

I think American Beauty is a terrible film, but everyone raved about it and it even won at the Oscars. It's a shit film.
