My sweet maternal grandmother was completely deaf. She read lips very well. But you were not even facing her direction, she would know you were kind of back talking lol. Gosh, i sure miss her! She was the most amazing grandma. 🤗♥️🙏🏻

I just tell my kids if you tell me the truth now I will be less mad, it gives them the opportunity to be truthful to me and I have to hold myself accountable by sticking to my word. I want my kids to be able to tell me things without fearing me overreacting.

Of my kids were acting off, I would tell them are you going to tell me what happened. Or should I tell you what I know & if I tell you, you will be in more trouble. They always thought I knew things. I hardly ever knew anything except they were up to something. They would out themselves every time. Now as parents they know the secret and can use it.

I always told my kids that if they do something wrong to tell me the truth. They might still get punished but the truth nets a smaller punishment to include talking it through what went wrong. They turned out great in my eyes.

💯 my son is 14 and I've always told him the truth will always prevail. for the most part he is very honest and open with me. but I've caught him a few times trying to be sly and go somewhere with girls without adult supervision. both times within 5 minutes he confessed that was really the plan and I explained to him why that's not okay
