Foil on the outside of your windows(not inside the windows, that can potentially crack the windows) if possible. When our ac goes out we literally hang blankets over the windows to insulate from the heat. Windows open at night to cool off the house then close it up the moment it starts to heat up during the day and insulate as much as possible to keep the cool air cool—but you have to make sure inside is cooler than out obviously don’t stay inside if inside is heating up more than out- Focus on keeping a single room insulated and cool it can be waay too hard to keep the whole house cool,so close off a room if there aren’t doors to close it off hang blankets. If you have a box fan or any fan and a big plastic bucket and can find ice put it behind the fan (but inside the bucket so it doesn’t melt on the floor and cause an electrical hazard) for cool air. If you can’t find ice start freezing blocks in whatever you can with whatever space you have in your freezer-speaking of-Freeze rolled up wet rags as well and you can wrap them around the back of your neck, wrists, back of knees- when they warm up switch out for cool ones, have a rotation. We also would use a tiny pool (or whatever holds water) to put our feet in while sitting because that can also help keep you cool. Make sure you’re drinking enough water with electrolytes, literally a bit of salt if you can’t find actual electrolytes. I’m so sorry, I know it sucks, good luck.

Why is it that the heat abroad helps my pain but heat in the UK destroys me 😭😭 make it make sense. My feet are on fire, I can feel every bone in my body, and I think my legs have stopped functioning
