Based Saudi Arabia (🇸🇦🏴) and Based Abd Al Aziz Ibn Saud R.a (🇸🇦🏴) The history of Saudi Arabia is rich and spans thousands of years. The Arabian Peninsula has been home to many ancient civilizations and played an important role in trade, religion, and culture. Long before the rise of Islam, tribes lived across the peninsula, engaging in trade, agriculture, and herding. Important trade routes connected Arabia with neighboring civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, Persia, and the Roman Empire. Ancient kingdoms such as Dilmun, Lihyan, and the Nabataean Kingdom flourished in different parts of the region. One of the most significant events in world history occurred in the 7th century CE with the birth of Islam. Around 570 CE, Prophet Muhammad was born in the city of Mecca. In 610 CE, he began receiving revelations that became the Quran. He preached the message of Islam, calling people to worship one God. Despite facing opposition, Islam spread rapidly across Arabia. In 622 CE, Prophet Muhammad migrated from Mecca to Medina in an event known as the Hijrah, which marks the beginning of the Islamic calendar. By the time of his death in 632 CE, most of the Arabian Peninsula had accepted Islam. After the Prophet's death, the Rashidun Caliphate expanded Islamic rule beyond Arabia into parts of Asia, Africa, and Europe. Later, the Umayyad and Abbasid Caliphates ruled vast empires, making the Islamic world a center of learning, science, medicine, mathematics, and culture. Although political power shifted to cities such as Damascus and Baghdad, Mecca and Medina remained the spiritual heart of Islam and attracted millions of pilgrims each year. During the following centuries, different local rulers governed parts of the Arabian Peninsula. In the 16th century, the Ottoman Empire gained control over the Hejaz region, including Mecca and Medina, while other areas remained under tribal leadership. Central Arabia, known as Najd, was largely independent and organized around tribal alliances. A major turning point came in the 18th century when Muhammad ibn Saud formed an alliance with the Islamic scholar Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab in 1744. This alliance led to the establishment of the First Saudi State in Diriyah. The state expanded across much of central Arabia but was defeated by Ottoman-Egyptian forces in 1818. A Second Saudi State was later established in Riyadh in 1824, but internal conflicts eventually caused its collapse. The modern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was founded by King Abdulaziz ibn Saud, also known as Ibn Saud. In 1902, he recaptured Riyadh and gradually united much of the Arabian Peninsula through military campaigns, diplomacy, and alliances. On September 23, 1932, he officially proclaimed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, uniting the regions of Najd and Hejaz under one nation. This date is celebrated every year as Saudi National Day. A major transformation occurred in 1938 when large reserves of oil were discovered near Dammam. Oil production brought enormous economic growth and changed the country's future. Revenue from oil allowed Saudi Arabia to build modern cities, roads, schools, hospitals, airports, and industries. The country became one of the world's leading oil producers and an influential member of the global economy. In the second half of the 20th century, Saudi Arabia played an increasingly important role in regional and international affairs. It became a founding member of the United Nations in 1945 and later became a leading member of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). The kingdom continued to modernize while preserving its Islamic traditions and cultural heritage. In recent years, Saudi Arabia has launched major economic and social reforms under Vision 2030. The program aims to reduce dependence on oil by expanding tourism, technology, renewable energy, entertainment, education, and investment. #saudiarabia🇸🇦 #Saudi #Arab #Islam #edit
