Yea if it was an invasion from space it would make sense. But the machines were already there, which means the aliens had to do some research on a planet they were planning to conquer. How’d they miss bacteria???

Speilberg’s WORST movie (best special effects though and destruction). The ending - Love how Tom Cruise’s ex and her parents are just sitting down for a nice holiday meal while the world has been ending down the street. Grandparents block conveniently skipped over.

I thought the ending was meant to be like a hopeful message?? twilight zone vibes, their vehicles were purposefully planted on earth before civilization,guns couldn’t take them out, it seemed like they would wipe everyone out by feeding off of them and then boom they weren’t so immortal and all that intelligent after all
