After all that effort to remain immobilised for the hour that it took for emgency services to arrive, my rescue was far from smooth sailing given I was still on the mountain. I have wondered if continuing to run down would have been more effective. Regardless, I’m so lucky to be alive and whilst it’s still early days in recovery, there doesn’t appear to be any permanent damage even though it took 2 hours to receive antivenom. #snakebite #albania #emergency #trailrunning #solohiking
