@annaj0an: i love the touristy side of thailand… but these are the experiences i remember most 🍦🥹 👉 follow @annaj0an for more honest travel moments + thailand finds! when i was in udon thani, some local friends took me to an ice cream place that’s become pretty well known in the area. and when i say ice cream place… i literally mean they serve it from right outside their living room 😭✨ udon thani is in isan (or isaan), the northeastern region of thailand that’s known for its incredible food, strong local culture and a slower pace of life than places like bangkok or phuket 🌾 i ordered two scoops with three flavours between them: taro, coconut and thai tea 🍠🥥🧋 and wow. the flavours tasted so fresh and natural compared to a lot of ice cream back home. the coconut actually tasted like coconut, the thai tea was rich and creamy, and the taro was unlike anything i’d tried before 😮‍💨 it’s such a simple experience, but that’s exactly why i loved it. just great ice cream, lovely people and one of those little travel moments that ends up sticking with you long after the trip 💛 what’s the most memorable local food or drink you’ve discovered while travelling? 👀 #udonthani #thaifood #isaan
