Pandan is just a fragrant leaf we add to food for the aroma. Also, those cakes have a weird foamy texture, i dont like it and its so chemicaly. Those tiny packs are just for preservation

pandan is usually from pandan leaf and it's very common in desserts for Malaysia! for cakes sometimes it's more of a very light flavor, like pandan chiffons! maybe dipping in milk or tea might help
