I was this child. very few people in my life ever gave me a voice. I was NOT mature for my age and my shyness was NOT quirkiness!! quite the opposite, and at 30 years old I'm still catching up on emotional intelligence.

I dunno. I have an extremely shy kid. At home he's open and fun and crazy but at school and especially crowds he's a shy observer who has a tendency to try and become invisible. My other kid is super outgoing and makes friends with everybody, everywhere.
