The deepest ocean is cold for the same reason the upper atmosphere is cold even though it gets the sunlight first. Pressure density. Water molecules spread apart with increased heat and the relative pressure less. When it’s cold the molecules are closed and there’s less movement therefore it’s colder relative to the compression of a given sample size. This is like 5th or 6th grade science man. Hot =loose, cold= dense.

From the tallest point on earth to the deepest point on earth is an only a few miles and if the earth was the size of a marble it would feel smooth like a cue ball. That how big it is. The center of the earth is so far away from the deepest depths of the sea.
