Literally be patient. They are not just teasing the now upcoming episodes, but the second act, which is predicted to last for a about 10 years. They can give us a crumb of a future plot to have us looking foward to it. It's obvious they are gonna do something with it. "It's been months" -it's been 3 months. 3 big updates and one of them was a collab filler, so 2 lore updates - 4 episodes. It hasn't even been that long. Let's not forget how many months it took for Silent Salt to make his appearence and get even mentioned again after his first mentions in episode 1 and 2 of beast yeast. Plus in the story we are also already trying to get to the witch's castle to get to the first oven, which could for the future mean we would get to know more about the witches and possibly what this scene was about. We are already very likely slowly heading to that part of the story.

you know what else they show us and do nothing about it ? when Shadow Milk (as Lady in Azure) arrived at Eternal Sugar's garden he asked her if he could pick some of her berries in the heart of her garden for his said "struggling student" and to this day we never found out why he wanted the berry
