in this case, Toyota its not better than any other car. if you change he oil at 3.000 miles at any brand of car or any tipe.of engine, it will last the same as Toyota.

We have a Toyota with 290000 KLM , 10000 mile change intervals absolutely no problem. This is very common in Ireland.

Wtf, what awful junk oil are putting in these cars that can’t do 10000 miles. This absolutely insane, last century 10000 was normal for Toyota and didn’t cause issues in the rest of the world 😂😂

This problem is not in Europe. Here the Toyota engines reach 900,000 km of operation, although the shift interval is made at 15,000. Why? The problem is gasoline in the US. Here we have better quality gasoline and this helps the oil not to degrade so quickly. If you put in poor gasoline = problems over time
Yet Volkswagen were able to make an engine with 30000 klm oil change or distance/ time service and no oil burning

The most important is for Hybrids. Non hybrid engines run at around 90°C so water turns to vapor and escapes trough the exhaust. Hybrids are around 70°C so not all water evaporates and they need special additives in the oil to grab on to that water. So you need more frequent and very important oil changes because it becomes saturated with water.

Worked at Toyota dealer for nearly 40 years, some older Corollas had all burning, nothing with newer models on 0w 20, 0w 16 oil grades doing 10k a year 👍

From my experience it seems to really matter how the car is used, Taxis are fine with 10k but the every day driver need to be 5k
