Carbide drill bit, drill slow in small bursts. After you have the hole drilled, spray with penetrating oil, wait awhile then try the easy out again. Patience is key

mine did the same thing about 13 years ago. had to have one those edm machines to get it out, I got lucky and the contract machinist we used had access to one.

I went through this with the thermostat housing on my ford ranger, which bolts into the engine block.. two bolts broke removing the old one, then a drill bit inside that bolt, then another drill bit, then two extractors. Then when I was finally done with all of that, the bolts that came with the new thermostat housing weren't strong enough to handle the proper torque specs and one of those snapped
