☘️*Thought of the Day* ☘️*Who Shall Separate Us From the Love of Christ?*
Romans 8:35 (NIV)
*“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?”*
Not long ago, I was hospitalized and endured great agony. Yet by the grace of God, I was discharged and restored. In such moments of suffering, many people ask questions like: Has God abandoned me? Does He still love me? These doubts often arise during seasons of pain—whether through failure, the loss of a loved one, a frightening diagnosis like cancer, miscarriage, financial struggles, infertility, or disappointment.
*But Scripture assures us that God is never unaware, nor does He abandon His children. He knows even the number of hairs on our heads* (Luke 12:7). He appeared to Paul during his dangerous voyage to Rome, affirming His presence (Acts 27:23–24). Job endured unimaginable suffering, yet God remained faithful and restored him (Job 42:10–12). Even Jesus Christ, our Lord, suffered rejection, pain, and death, but His Father was with Him until the end (John 16:32).
*Christian life does not mean a life free of problems.* Trials come, but they shape our character, and character produces hope (Romans 5:3–4). The world faces problems without hope, often giving up or despairing. But believers know the battle was won over 2,000 years ago at the cross. *Faith glorifies Jesus in both good and bad times.*
Paul concludes with unshakable confidence:
Romans 8:38–39 (NIV)
*“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”*
This is our assurance: nothing—no sickness, no loss, no hardship—can separate us from His unfailing love.
🌿 *Jesus loves you. Jesus saves.* 🌿
