people complain about this "retcon" in JW. They say it undermines the efforts the original designers of JP made to try make the Dinosaurs as accurate as possible. But I think it's a FANTASTIC retcon to explain the gap between the results and what we now know about dinosaur physiology. And to me, it makes PERFECT sense. Scientists make dinosaur, it does not look like the current estimations of their appearance (in the 90s) Hammond is not the type to push science forward at this stage, so instead demands they make it look more like people's imagination, to sell more tickets.
