@appleuser64242835 :
I GAVE LESSONS FROM THE STAGE. There were always youngsters up close studying our performance. I got a lot of them up on that stage for their very first times. Retired now, old gear up to my adam’s apple. We charged $100 per hour. Food and drinks, rooms, if we traveled. Day jobs too. Good luck to all of you bums, “if you formulate a band, it will work”. If you are not single, don’t do it! I was our manager too, “so I picked the joints”, and “great food was a priority”. We played the same places over and over, I had an excellent crew. We used stopwatches to time our setup and tear down times. “That got us gigs too”, always got paid. The band had a bank account, “and charge accounts”, where members could eat and drink on their signatures. Make it fun, later, call them “good old days”. (OK, I’m 70, it was a while back. Yes, we wore “Beatle Boots”.)
