Ok so this will help everyone in the comments on any high end car. Brembo makes Mercedes rotors. Mercedes doesn’t make brakes. So retail for one front rotor is $2170 from the dealer. If I order the SAME PART from Brembo, my retail is $494.97. So when you go to the dealer and they quote you brake rotors, you are paying $500 for the rotor and $1600 for the Mercedes box it came in. Please don’t ever take your car to a dealer for brakes or tires. Unless you just want to pay triple.

Make sure you fill out the survey on the Manhattan location. Mercedes takes those VERY seriously. If you give them a bad rating on the survey they are required to reach out to you personally.

The biggest biggest thing I’ve ever learned from all my car trouble is to always always say no to EVERYTHING they suggest and then get a second opinion but don’t go in to the next place telling them what you were told just tell them to look at it and see if they say the same thing!!

Babe I had a similar terrible experience at MB Manhattan! I went in bc I had a bent rim and the car was shaking when driving (gotta love Manhattan potholes!). They had the car for 3 days, never followed up, so I called and they said the car was all good no bent rims. I didn’t even argue. Went to my home dealer which is Paramus. They found 4 bent rims! They said more than likely no one looked at it at Manhattan. $200k S-class btw. I called MB customer service. The dealership was reprimanded.

Never ask a dealership to service your car unless it is covered under warranty like oil changes. Outside mechanic shops work at better prices, even if you want oem parts the labor prices are insane at dealerships.

I just got my brake pads changed about 2 months ago after almost 3 years of owning it and almost 100k miles. I took my car to the mechanic at least 3 or 4 times in the past year for different reasons and would ask to check my brake pads because sometimes I was hearing a sound like the rotors were being scraped. Each time he would say it wasn’t time, til finally in April he said, let’s do it. Meanwhile, one of his other mechanics told me I needed brake pads AND rotors about a year ago on one of those visits. I confidently told him I didn’t because I actually do know a few things about cars and I know what damaged rotors feel and sound like. My mechanic has never steered me wrong.

Someone who works there informed me that they don’t prioritize their customers’ satisfaction. A couple of months ago, I purchased a preowned vehicle, and I’ve been repeatedly returning to the dealership due to the same frustrating jerking issue. Despite their efforts, they’ve been unable to identify the problem. It’s truly disheartening to experience such a lack of attention to customer concerns.

I’ve learned never take my Mercedes to a dealership. They wanted to charge me $3500-4k to replace a side mirror. I end up ordering the part myself and put it on myself after watching a YouTube video for less than $400. This was my first Benz now my current Benz i haven’t had any issues far as expensive repairs.

GURLL Mercedes told me it would cost $4500 to fix a sensor under my car so my check engine light would go off. I was getting my B service done and told them not to fix the sensor, that I would figure it out. I picked up my car and the check engine light was off when I asked why they said when I start driving the car will recalibrate and my engine light will come back on since I didn’t pay to fix the sensor. My check engine light has never come back on…
