I don't think Rose meant for spinel to be left alone for thousands of years. I think that she thought Spinel would have gone back to Homeworld to see if something had happened after a while. But it's not like she could have dragged Spinel into her revolution; her identity as Pink Diamond had to remain a secret, which let's be honest, Spinel probably wouldn't be able to keep the secret, even Pearl wanted to tell everyone the truth after Rose died.

I love this take, like yes she was supposed to be the diamond we actually liked because she was against everything, but you can still see the moments where she has to stop and remind herself to be calm and check her emotions. It shows that even though she was against everything the diamonds stood for, she was still one of them at the end of the day. I don’t think she would have ever purposely hurt spinel, but maybe like when she got angry and hurt her first pearl (I haven’t watched in a while sorry if that’s wrong.)

As much as she loved humans because they could grow up, she grew up just like a human. She was just tired of Spinel, and she definitely did not beg for a colony while playing with Spinel

Reminder that pink is not morally good for a reason , before visiting earth she was almost as bad as the other diamonds , so I wouldn’t be surprised if she genuinely had to hold herself back from shattering spinel
