Ngl, I don't think she was originally meant to be the moon goddess. In fact, I don't think even the devs knew what to do. She was the only Harbinger that was fully covered by her cloak in the concept art, while the other characters you can somewhat see or fully see their designs. Before, there was no way to tell if Columbina was a moon goddess because it was likely never the original intention. Plus, she had absolutely no hue of blue in what we could see, her hair was warmly colored. I don't know why they wouldn't originally include blue when it's so important to her character today. Many as well as I assumed she'd be an angel/seelie because of the six wings on her head, and that is probably what they had in mind when designing her. Nod-Krai was the best thing to happen to Columbina because it's where hoyo finally realized how they can make Columbina significant, and how she'll allow them to tie things together. 🤔 I wouldn't say she's rewritten, but I can't say she was originally designed for what she turned out to be. Especially since there was barely even a design... I believe she was mostly just a concept that finally got expanded in ways that weren't originally planned.

People need to remember if she was to be posed as an enemy to the traveler she would never be playable and would likely end up in a similar position to Signora and Dottore, so yes Nod Krai being added IS THE BEST OPTION

This completely sets back the point of nod krai not being on plan by the way, you just proved that basically they pushed all that lore into the nation just so Columbina and Nod krai would be relevant. Even without nod krai, Hoyoverse/Mihoyo could not have possibly released genshin without the end in mind. It's most likely the story is written all the way to the ending already from the moment the game first released, that's how story games always are. And now that they admit to Nod krai being written last minute and Columbina being rewritten last minute as well only proves that all the lore that was probably meant to be released around Snezhnaya and Kaenriah was released in advance for the sake of Nod krai and Columbina's new writing to be relevant. This doesn't help the fact that we lost out on a potentially well written angel (to which she was first portrayed as) character and got a moon goddess that completely changed the way we first saw her, if you personally prefer her in this way, then keep that opinion true to yourself instead of defending against the community's very valid complaints. Because although I've already accepted that this is the Columbina we got, the disappointment is evident and I wholeheartedly understand the complaints of others as well because this is not how she was first portrayed. And before you call our complaints delusional or incoherent, remember that Hoyoverse themselves had to point out she was rewritten in the first place. If they knew that the portrayal of her character from the beginning was the same as who she is now, then they wouldn't need to say that. Instead, they came upfront about it to discuss the player's impending disappointment on what Columbina is now today instead of who she potentially was. If you like her, then like her! But facts are, the disappointment in her release is expected even by the company itself.

Even if she was rewritten and was not meant to he Moon Goddess (I myself am included in these people because I absolutely loved the idea of Fanon Bina being a biblically accurate angel and we made that assumption as well because of all the clues they were giving us 😭) , you can't deny that her arc in Nod Krai was actually really good. If you look at the recurring themes in the all Luna versions, it's all about finding home whether it's with Varka coming home after a long expedition to protect his homeland, or with Zibai betraying her very own existence as an Angel created by Celestia to protect her people and her "home". Columbina's arc was all about finding that "home" where she's not seen as a Moon Goddess like the Frostmoon Scions or a test subject like the Fatui but as a person herself that being Columbina Hyposelenia.

Nod krai is way more well written than inazuma or fontaine but it’s something genshin player dont want to accept, we were able to see a genuine growth in columbina’s character from her first appearance to the end of the quest something characters like furina do not have

She was rewritten although it's not necessarily a bad thing. A moon god or goddess was likely meant to exist before and they had no one to fill the role so they decided to do it with Columbina. And to develop her character as a moon goddess meant to contradict some of the past information we had so YES she was rewritten (no hate ofc I love Bina too [happy])

i agree that columbina deserved her own arc fully but i doubt she was always moon goddess or that genshin even planned there to be a 'new moon'. there have been no foreshadowing of a new moon goddess prior to nod krai - that doesnt mean her writing is bad or anything its js a miscommunication that hyv could have teased earlier imo
